SHIPPING COSTS

Welcome to my selection of handcrafted furniture.Your chosen items will be seafreighted to your appointed destination as an extra cost to the website price. The resulting total will still remain competitive if you make local comparisons, providing you find someone who can construct, carve, plaster & watergild furniture. This seafreight price is quoted to us by a local shipping agent, can take a week or more, & INCLUDES DELIVERY TO YOUR NEAREST PORT OF DESTINATION. When we receive this shipping quote, we will email you a FINAL PRICE. Clearance, duty & delivery are payable by the customer. To give you a reasonable idea of these costs we will email you an estimation along with the FINAL PRICE. There can on rare occasions be a small addition if local customs wish to open & inspect. Value on the customs invoce prepared by ourselves for duty purposes will be a low ex factory price so as to minimise duty payable, but not to arouse undue suspicion by the authorities. Therefore the true value of the goods & what you have paid for them will not be reflected in the customs invoice. Pre-paying the shipping costs is cheaper than paying the clearing agents at destination.

Construction & finishing will take about 6 weeks to be added on to about a month for shipping depending on where you are. An ETA (estimated time of arrival) will be emailed to you when the goods leave the factory.

ALL ARMCHAIRS OR CHAIRS CAN BE FINISHED IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING STYLES: Gold, Silver, Off-white, Green, Grey, Blue, Black. Combinations of Gold/Silver & colours. Combinations of Off-white & colours.

All chairs are made of solid, kiln dried european beech unless otherwise stated as in #220L - cherry, & all designs are originals from 18th century France.

All chair 'leg-and-back' uprights are made from one piece of beech (or cherry) for extra strength & NOT jointed together. Also, there are four corner retaining brackets on each chair seat for long term stability, with the exception of chair #210, where there are two.

MEASUREMENTS

The first measurement is the height which is the maximum at the top of the chair from the ground. The second is the maximum width wherever that may be. The third is the seat depth measured from the seat centre front to a point on the seat vertically below the back seat cushion.


FABRIC

On submitting your purchase request by clicking on 'Add to Quote' & then completing some details, you will then wait for a Final Price to include shipping. When received you will then decide whether to go ahead & prepay using PAYPAL. With this email will be included our address in Macau, FOR YOU TO SEND THE FABRIC OF YOUR CHOICE. This you should be able to organise from the shop where you have bought the material you have chosen. Airmail or a courrier service is recommended. On the package always write SAMPLE ONLY with a value of $45(USD), irrespective of what you have paid for it. If the shop is willing to include with the package an invoice at this price for customs purposes only, so much the better. Otherwise they DO NOT include a copy of the real invoice (if it is more). Generally we need 3-4 square metres per chair. This information will be repeated when you receive the address & will vary with volume.


ARMCHAIRS

Highest quality & appropriate density of sponge foam & old fashioned style coil springs are used to create just the right bounce & feel. The foam meets fire regulatory standards in the USA, EU, & UK (BS Crib 5 - Hotels/Homes). Horsehair stuffing is available on request. Traditional duck down is used for cushioning on Louis XV armchair #204 & corner sofa #250.


CHAIRS

Cane chairs are all provided with tie-on cushions, in beige or off-white fine corduroy to be taken off for re-covering if the customer so wishes.
